DAY 2: HONG KONG, HONG KONG ISLAND

Activities: Victoria Peak Circle Walk
Today, you’ll explore Hong Kong Island. In the morning, start with a tram up to Victoria Peak for an excellent view of Kowloon Island, Victoria Harbor and Hong Kong. Continue to the nearby Edward Youde Aviary – an outdoor bird park for spotting a wide variety of rare and endangered birds. From there, you’ll go to Repulse Bay – a historic beach and alcove. Some townhouses reach as high as $6,500 per square foot.

After breakfast, start your day with a visit the impressive Reed Flute Cave located just 5 kilometers northwest of Guilin city. Named after the reeds growing at its entrance, this is Guilin’s largest and most breathtaking cave. With a length of 240 meters and a tour covering about 550 meters, you’ll enter a magical world of awe-inspiring stalactites,
Next up, grasp a chance to discover the iconic Elephant Trunk Hill (40 minutes), located at the junction of Li River and Peach Blossom River in Guilin. About five kilometers to the northwest suburb of Guilin City situates a famous scenic spot praised as “the underground Palace of Natural Arts” – the Reed Flute Cave. DAY 5: GUILIN

Today we escape from the busy urban life and breathe in the fresh air at the Longji Rice Terraced Fields. You may meet ethnic people who are dressed in their national costumes or are working in the fields as you hike up them.
Ethnic groups in this area share different ways of life with the majority. They are good at using local resources to make food: rice is cooked in a bamboo tube and minced tea leaves are mixed with flavorings.
Sit around a bonfire in a traditional kitchen and follow the host’s example as you make bamboo tube rice. Enjoy a local meal cooked with fresh ingredients and taste some oil tea.

Learn to Make Rice Cooked in Bamboo Tubes
Longji not only offers breathtakingly scenic views of the lush winding rice terraces but also is famous for bamboo stuffed rice, a local delicacy of the mountainous region. While on the excursion to Longji, you will visit a local ethnic minority family, witness and be taught step-by-step how to make this kind special staple food. The bamboos are cut into shorter sections that are closed at one end. Stream-soaked glutinous rice, together with beans, corns and some other necessary ingredients are put into the bamboo tubes via a small hole of one end with an adequate amount of water. Then, they will be sealed by with banana leaves before being placed on a charcoal fire until all turn black, which means they are thoroughly cooked. The dish is unlike any other common staple food as it combines the great flavor of rice with subtle scent of fresh bamboo. DAY 6: GUILIN, YANGSHUO
Embark on Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangsuo
Focus today on a mesmerizing Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, which showcases crystal-clear waters, iconic karst hills, lush paddy fields, and quaint rural villages. Your arrival in Yangshuo, usually between 1:30 pm and 2 pm (subject to water conditions), marks the beginning of a leisurely walk through the vibrant West Street. After that, enjoy a private transfer to your Yangshuo hotel, with the rest of today at leisure.

The Terracotta Warriors and Horses is a large-scale underground military museum with a huge collection of life-sized terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of the first unified dynasty of Imperial China. This special buried site featuring the form of funerary art with the purpose of protecting the emperor in his afterlife. Distinctly representing the Qin Dynasty military power, the figures in the site include thousands of warriors, hundreds of horses and chariots with the history over 2,200 years in battle array, which are very impressive by the size, number and detailed looking. Unknown to the world until 1974, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses was discovered by local farmers and became one of the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. When visiting such a marvelous place, guests should be aware of the great history that is lying behind all the spots and tourist information signs as the Terracotta Army and Horses is indeed closely connected with the early ancient history of China. The excavation sites along with the emperor’s tomb and surrounding areas is now officially named Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum Site Museum, which shows the life stories of the emperor and the powerful Qin Empire in thriving days. Freshen up in the morning and get ready for a 5-kilometer hike along the most recommended hiking route: from Jinshanling to Simatai West.
Your journey begins with a 2.5-hour driving from Beijing to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall, internationally celebrated for its breathtaking views that serve as incredible photo opportunities across all seasons. The scenic landscape truly comes alive under the lens, with each passing season adding distinct hues to the splendid panorama.
Along our chosen hiking route, you’ll encounter over 15 watchtowers, each radiating a distinctive style and charm. As you move between them, you’ll be fascinated by the stark contrast between the restored parts of the wall and the untouched, historic sections featuring ancient watchtowers, allowing you a glimpse into the passage of time.
The hiking adventure, extending from Jinshanling to Simatai West, takes approximately 3 hours and offers an authentic experience. It concludes at the junction of the Jinshanling and Simatai sections, each bearing witness to China’s eventful past and resilient spirit.
Later on, if time permits, visit the Temple of Heaven, a large religious complex in the old outer city of Beijing, considered the supreme achievement of traditional Chinese architecture. Its layout symbolizes the belief that heaven is round and earth square.

The Temple of Heaven is a ritual temple complex located in the southeastern of Beijing. Covering an area of 273 hectares which is even larger than the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven is known to be the largest and most representative structure among existing China’s ancient sacrificial buildings. As an important worship centre of royalty, the Temple of Heaven is the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties celebrated the national rites and sacrifices to pay homage to Heaven and plead to give good harvests. The memorial ceremony held in the Temple of Heaven is regarded as one of the major rites in a year. Ancient Chinese notion claimed that emperors are the “Son of Heaven”, so the temple complex’s design reflects the emperors’ unique role in the relationship between heaven and the earth, and this relationship also occupied a central position in the ancient Chinese cosmology. Encompassing the essences of ancient philosophy, history, mathematics, mechanics, aesthetics, and ecology, the Temple of Heaven deserve to be an outstanding cultural masterpiece of Chinese civilization.
Discover The Great Wall of China
To many people, your trip to Beijing is not complete if you miss the chance to witness the Great Wall of China. Dubbed as the longest wall on earth, the Great Wall stretches over 21,196 kilometers from east to west of China and winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus like a gigantic dragon. First built in the Spring and Autumn Period (770 – 476 BC), the wall was continuously constructed and restored by later dynasties, mainly during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Chinese Empires have made lots of effort to built the wall to prevent invasions from the North and protect the Silk Road trade route as well.
